Men’s basketball defeats Shippensburg 85-75, starts season 2-0

The men’s basketball team, led by Francis Fitzgerald with a team-high 23 points, defeated Shippensburg University Saturday evening to open the 2021-2022 season at 2-0.
Rebounding and second-chance points helped the Trojans open up a sizeable lead in the first half 27-13 before Shippensburg closed the deficit to a 44-35 halftime score, and then to 48-46 at the start of the second half.
The Trojans stretched out the lead towards the end of the game with some key shooting.
