Virginia State University Women’s Volleyball fell to Elizabeth City State University in four sets 25-18, 24-26, 25-13 and 25-19 on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the Multi-Purpose Center.

Freshman right-side hitter Amaya Cooper led the team with 12 kills, while sophomore Helena Eubanks had 10 kills and 1 block.

The Vikings had lots of production from their roster –Elizabeth Kellum had 9 kills and 3 aces to lead the team. Elizabeth Cities Head Coach David Brooks was very happy with the team’s serving, and poise during the win.

The Trojans will face CIAA opponent Virginia Union University on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Center.

The Panthers are 12-9 overall but this will be a tough conference match-up for the Trojans. The Trojans have just 3 games left in their season, with one against Shaw and another against Bowie. The CIAA Tournament begins on Nov. 7.
