Elizabeth City NC– The Trojans won convincingly 34-12 against the Vikings on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Elizabeth City State University. Sophomore running back Upton Bailey had himself a day in the running game earning his first career 100-yard rushing game as he rushed for 115 yards on just 14 carries.

His co-partner Darius Hagans also made some significant contributions both through the ground and air, rushing for 111 rushing yards on 19 carries with a touchdown as well.

Junior quarterback Jordan Davis had a dominating performance for the Trojans as he earned himself the Food Lion Quarterback of the week award. He led the team with 158 passing yards through the air going 14-35, while also contributing a rushing touchdown.

However, the Vikings drop their third home game of the season and fell to 2-6 on the year. They will look to bounce back at home next week to take on their northern division rival, Bowie State at 1 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Trojans will look to stay on track as they travel to Lincoln, Pennsylvania, to take on the Lions of Lincoln University the divisional match-up is set for Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m.
