The Multipurpose Center was filled with members of the Greek organizations on campus for the men’s basketball game on Wednesday, Jan. 29, as the Trojans took on Bowie State.
Although the enthusiasm from the organizations captivated the halftime audience, the Trojans entered the locker room down 12 points.
Hoping to get a boost from the showcase at halftime, the Trojans cut the deficit to just 9 points when Daryl Mackey, Jr. scored the first three points with an and-one.
Unfortunately, the quick start did not pull the Trojans any closer and they fell to the Bulldogs 85-65.
In spite of the home loss, the Trojans are still holding onto a 9-2 conference record and are knocking on the door for the top spot in the Northern Division.
The CIAA tournament is just a few weeks away in Baltimore and will take place from Feb. 25 to Mar. 1 at CFG Bank Arena.
